Test House UKAS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Accreditation

Congratulations to the Henry Williams Test House team for achieving UKAS accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2017, with our new scope having recently been published.

The team have put a huge amount of effort in to ensuring the Test House continues to deliver fantastic customer service, providing testing of metals, alloys and metal products - Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Castings, Forgings, Plate, Pipes and Tubes.

Mechanical tests:

Tensile; ambient and elevated temperature (100⁰C to 500⁰C)

Impact; Charpy (-102⁰C to ambient and at -196⁰C), Lateral Expansion

Hardness; Brinell (10/3000 HBW), Rockwell (HRB & HRC), Vickers (HV10 & HV30)

Metallurgical tests:

Average Grain Size (comparison method)

Volume fraction

Corrosion:

Determination of Resistance to Pitting & crevice Corrosion

Determination of Susceptibility to Inter-granular attack

Method for Detecting Detrimental Inter-Metallic Phase

Elemental Analysis (OES)

C, Si, Mn, P, S, Ni, Cr, Mo, Cu, Sn, Nb, V, Co, Ti, Ta, B, Al, W, As, N
