Fishplates

The forged fishplate provides the strongest achievable joint between sections of rail - the key features being the improved grain flow and the facility to incorporate a strengthening profile.

Our design skills and extensive experience of fishplate manufacture, supported by facilities such as our archive of rail section samples, gives us to confidence to claim that we can offer a comprehensive fishplate range.

In the case of light rail applications or small quantities of extreme combinations of rail profile offsets not warranting the manufacture of forging dies Henry Williams will manufacture from bar, profiled section or plate complementing our forged product range.

Emergency Clamped Joggled Fishplate

To provide emergency repairs on broken welded rail or fractured rail section Henry Williams have developed an emergency clamped joggled fishplate, which enables quick temporary repairs allowing continued movements through section at reduced line speed.

The benefit of the Henry Williams emergency clamped joggled fishplate is that no drilling or machining is required the plates are simply held in position using G clamps tightened with a standard fishplate spanner.
