About Henry Williams

The story of Henry Williams Limited goes back to 1883, when the company was formed to manufacture control and signalling equipment for the rapidly expanding railways network. Since those historic and pioneering days, our skills have broadened, our technology has advanced with the time and our sphere of influence has widened considerably.

Today, though Henry Williams Limited is still a powerful force in the railways industry, we are now a versatile and multi-skilled engineering business, as highly regarded for our work in the fields of highways equipment, control systems and forgings as for our long-established railway connections.

We are based in Darlington, in premises occupying almost 10,000 square metres and on a site covering 4 hectares in total. We can call on advanced forging and fabrication technology, as well as first class design and project management expertise, to meet wide-ranging needs in a variety of market sectors.
